FAQ
What does your event management include?
My event management responsibilities include overseeing the timeline, coordinating vendors, troubleshooting any issues, and managing the overall flow of the event. Before the event day, I take on a project management role to ensure every element is organized. This includes timeline creation and management, budget management, vendor coordination, logistic planning, problem-solving and contingency plans, and post-event wrap-up reports.
Do you help with event design or choosing vendors?
While I don’t handle full event design, I can certainly recommend reputable vendors who fit your needs. I have a network of trusted professionals and can point you in the right direction. After that, I’ll take over project management to ensure vendors deliver on their commitments and coordinate all logistics leading up to the event.
How involved are you in the planning process?
I’ll work closely with you to create a comprehensive plan. I'll review contracts, confirm logistics, and build your event day timeline to ensure a smooth event. I’ll be with you every step of the way, ensuring that your vision is realized and everything is organized.
What is your role on the day of the event?
On the event day, I’ll be the main point of contact for all vendors and the venue. I manage everything from setup to breakdown and keep track of the event timeline, ensuring the day runs smoothly. I handle the behind-the-scenes details, such as ensuring the decor is set up as planned, the catering is on time, and the entertainment is ready to go. I'm there to handle any unexpected issues that may arise.
What’s the difference between an event manager and an event planner?
An event planner handles everything from brainstorming ideas to creating a detailed event plan, including vendor selection and design. As an event manager, I focus on coordinating and executing your event. However, I also take on a project management role, ensuring all timelines are met; I manage communication and logistics to ensure everything is aligned. In essence, event planning is about creating the vision, while event management is about bringing that vision to life.
